Red Salute tells the story of Chala Vasu, who is a head-load worker and a trade union activist. His father Karunan was an idealist who had committed suicide when Vasu was a child. For Vasu, the affluent businessman Joseph Thomas, who was his father's friend, is sort of a mentor and godfather. The trade union leader Hamza too is a well-wisher and father-like figure for him.

Lakshmi - Nayanthara Malyalam Movie dubbed from a big splash Telugu Movie at the box office - Lakshmi was a film with Nayanthara, Charmy and Venkatesh. The highlight of the movie was the glamour exposure by Nayanthara and Charmy. The two boob queens expose the most of their cleavages. Charmy has already shown her boobs in several movies.

Mohanlal plays Kasinath a political activist in Shaji Kailas's Thandavam. With his track record of brilliant performances, another well handled character portrayal by Mohanlal. Manjil Virinja Pookkal is a Malayalam movie directed by Fazil and featuring newcomers Mohanlal, Poornima Jayaram and Shankar. The story is about Prem Kishan(Shankar) falling in love with a woman(Poornima Jayaram) whom he knows very little about. Later on he realise that she was already married when her husband Narendran (Mohanlal) comes into picture.

Dubai Seenu is a Telugu film dubbed in Malayalam starring Ravi Teja in the lead role and Nayantara as Teja's love interest. The film is directed by Srinu Vaitla, who directed two other films of Ravi Teja, Nee Kosam and Venky. D.V.V. Danayya produces this film after the box office success of his maiden film, Desamuduru.

Kalabhavan Mani playing the role of a Circle Inspector named Satyanath, an honest and upright police officer. Like all honest and straight forward officers on the law enforcement brigade, he finds himself disliked and ridiculed by colleagues.

Rathinirvedam - a classical hit movie by Bharathan. This was Jayabharathi at her best. Excellent performance by her. Jayabharathi had solidified her stature in Malayalam cinema by the performance in Rathinirvedam.
