Ashtami at Vaikom
The Mahadeva Temple at Vaikom is one of the mostfamous and oldest Siva temples in Kerala. Theutsavam in this temple is celebrated for twelvedays during the dark lunar fortnight ofVrischikam, (November-December) the Ashtamifalling on the last day. During the night on theAshtami day the deities of the neighbouringtemples will be ceremoniously brought inprocession to this temple.
