Mahadeva Temple Mahotsavam
Annual ten day Mahotsavam at Mahadeva Temple, Chengamanad, 9 km from Aluva, Ernakulam. Festival highlights: Deepakazhcha, illumination by traditional lamps fixed on the outer walls of the temple, every day of the festival Ottamthullal Chakyarkoothu Kurathiyattam on the last two evenings Ceremonial procession led by five caparisoned elephants on the concluding day.
