Suresh Gopi is playing the double roles of a detective and a young politician. Mohan Kumar is a young political firebrand whose power and influence is on the rise. In mysterious circumstances, his wife Reshmi commits suicide. As she was a prominent social personality, the suicide created much talk in all circles. Since the couple was not known to have had any marital discord, the police are entrusted with the task of unraveling the circumstances of her death. The step-brother of Mohan Kumar, Detective Shyama Prasad, is put in charge of the case. Mohan Kumar fiercely but futilely opposes the appointment stating that the later had for years been against him in all circumstances and so he cannot conduct an honest investigation. Mohan Kumar alleges that this rivalry will also induce him to distort facts and lead the investigation so as to adversely affect his personal development in politics and empowerment. Shyama Prasad however, is a person who does not let personal prejudices interfere with his duty. Even though Mohan Kumar was a crucial factor in the destruction of his family and personal life, Shyama Prasad goes on with his sincere attempts to unveil the mystery behind Reshmi's death. The investigation leads him to findings that were never thought of before.
