Actress Navya Nair has lost Rs nine lakhs as she got trapped in a fake flat deal here and the police have registered a case of cheating against the builders based on her complaint.

The complaint is that the owners' of 'Shwas Homes Ltd', a construction company here, approached the actress offering a three bedroom flat for Rs 23,93,600 in their new flat named 'Mistic Heights' in Thrippunithara. The actress signed an agreement for the same and paid Rs 9, 60, 000 in advance.

But later she knew that the 'Shwas Homes Ltd' had failed to secure the construction permit and lodged a complaint in police. Meanwhile, the owners of 'Shwas Homes Ltd' identified as Sreeni Parameshwaran and Shaji Ayyappan filed an anticipatory bail plea in connection with the case and the same will be considered by .D Pappachan, Ernakulam Principal Sessions tomorrow.
