Builders and contractors in Thripunithura decided to suspend work from Thursday in protest against the demand by construction workers for a hike in wages and the ongoing strike by a section of workers.

Addressing a press meet here, the builders and contractors demanded parity in wages across the district. Hitherto, the workers in Thripunithura area were getting more than the workers in the city.
