Samajwadi Party's Kerala unit will organise protest marches and dharna in all district headquarters in the state against price, as part of the nation-wide agitation by United National Progressive Alliance (UNPA) from April 15 to 24.
Speaking to mediapersons here yesterday, P M Haris, State President, Samajwadi Party, said the reason for the unprecedented price rise was due to the shortcomings in the food and economic policies of the central and state government's.
The failure to control blackmarketing and weakening of public distribution system had led to price rise, he alleged.
The route of the proposed metro rail project through Mahatma Gandhi Road should not be changed and it should be completed in a time-bound phase. Any protest against the metro rail project should be resisted by the people, he said.
