Kerala government decided to implement semester and grading system for degrees courses from the next academic year. Education Minister M A Baby said the decision was taken at the higher education council meet held in the capital city yesterday. The minister opined that by implementing semester system, they aim to raise the standard of graduate courses.

Before implementing the semester system, all teachers of the state will be given training on it. The uncertainty regarding the grading system is baseless, said the minister.
