The results of the SSLC exam have been out, before the official announcement. A house named 'Kozhikode' in Karunagappally received a copy of the result and a youth identified as Vipin has been arrested in connection with the incident.

A long queue of students was witnessed in front of the house to get a copy of the result and the youth was arrested after the local residents informed the police.

The students of Thazava Girls Higher Secondary School and Kuzhithura Fisheries Higher Secondary School knew their results yesterday itself. Also the results of some schools in Chavara and Sasthamcotta have also been known.

Vipin, a technically qualified person from Karunagapally near here, had leaked out the results with help of a relative working in the Pareeksha Bhavan in the state capital, while the results were being given final touches before the official announcement later this afternoon.

Police said Vipin accessed the result by using a pen drive and sold them to students of two schools and some tuition centres. SSLC (10th standard) is the biggest examination conducted by the state government and its valuation and processing was supposed to be conducted confidentially. About five lakh candidates had written examination this year.
