LL.B. entrance test

The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations has invited applications for the June 29 entrance examination for admission to the five-year LL.B. course. Eighty seats each are on offer at the government law colleges at Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Thrissur and Kozhikode.

Indian citizens of Kerala origin who have passed Plus Two or equivalent examinations with a minimum 40 per cent marks (candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes require 35 per cent marks) may apply.

Those who have appeared for the qualifying examinations this year may also apply.

The applicants should be aged at least 17 as on December 31, 2008.

The examination centres are Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Thrissur and Kozhikode. The three-hour examination will have 200 multiple-choice questions from general knowledge, English and aptitude for legal studies.

Application forms and prospectus can be downloaded from www.cee-kerala.org. Candidates in the general category and those belonging to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes have separate forms.

The filled applications should be sent by registered post or delivered in person to the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Housing Board Buildings, 5th Floor, Santhinagar, Thiruvananthapuram - 695 001.

Enclose a demand draft for Rs. 600 (Rs. 300 for those belonging to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes) drawn in favour of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations payable at Thiruvananthapuram and other documents.

The applications will be accepted till June 2.
