Kidnap case against heroine Asin

A complaint to the Commissioner of Police Nanjil Kumaran that Asin kidnapped her maid servant for sale in Mumbai red light areas has rocked the film industry. The complainant, mother of the maid servant, made several allegations in the complaint.
She stated that her daughter, employed at Asin's home used to visit her every month and likewise she would also meet the daughter every week at Asin's home.
"But I did not get to meet my daughter for the past six months," the mother alleged.
Enquiries with those in Asin's household revealed that the actress was away for shooting in Mumbai. The police immediately called the actress to enquire about her maid's whereabouts.
Asin, however, made it clear that the maid was with her and she would fly down to Chennai with her
