Dhanam, a Tamil Movie directed by G Siva is a story of a call girl Dhanam (Sangeetha) in Hyderabad. She does flesh trade only to help the poor people living in her colony. Anantharaman (Prem), a Brahmin youth is fascinated by her and decides to marry her. She reciprocates his love and agrees to marry him on the condition that his family should accept their marriage.

As expected, the family opposes the marriage plans. However when an astrologer Vedagiri (Kotta Sreenivasa Rao) predicts that they would strike it rich, if Anantharaman marries Dhanam, they arrange for the wedding. Meanwhile Vedhagiri tries too woo Dhanam.

When Dhanam gives birth to a girl child, all hell breaks loose in the family. A series of events results in Dhanam avenging the whole family including the astrologer.

Thaniye directed by Babu Thiruvalla depicts the sad plight of the aged and the lonely in today's world, and takes a peep into the lives of home-nurses. The film also makes some strong statements about man's selfishness when it comes to worldly pleasures. Nedumudi Venu delivers a sterling performance as George Kutty with KPAC Lalitha, Lakshmi Gopalaswami, Ashokan, Mamukkoya, Padmakumar, Vijay Menon, Nedumbram Gopi.

Pachamarathanalil - Sreenivasan - Malayalam Movie

Pachamarathanalil is written and directed by debutant Leo Thaddeus. It stars Sreenivasan and Padmapriya in the lead roles with Lalu Alex, Lal and Nassar in other pivotal roles. The film's score and soundtrack is written by Alphons Joseph.

Sachidanandan (Sreenivasan) is a cartoonist famous for creating fairy characters for a children's magazine. He has a seven-year old girl Sneha (Baby Ahina), an over-smart talented kid representing today's generation. His wife Anu (Padmapriya) has a regular job.

The kid is spotted by an ad-filmmaker during a school programme. He convinces Sachi about the girl's talent. Now it is up to the girl and her father to convince the mother, which is done so in a few funny scenes.

From there the film takes an unexpected turn towards a suspense thriller after the girl disappears during a bus ride from Chennai to Pollachi (to shoot for the ad) in the middle of the night.

Boat racing is the biggest hobby of Alakkad Panchayat (Nedumudi Venu) who has been losing in the annual Vallamkali (Boat race). His son Chandran (Kunchakko Boban) is a cable operator who falls in love with Geeta (Navya) an orphan who is smart and hard working. Pappi Amma (Sukumari) takes care of her along with her son Ponnappan (Jagathy) who tries to get Geeta married to a Dubai returned Jose (Riaz Khan). Meanwhile Chandran's father pledges all his properties for the final race but loses. He dies in misery and now the responsibility of his family along with his father's liabilities falls on Chandran who also has to help Geeta from Jose.
