CBSE to make Class X boards optional in 2010-11

HRD Ministry is planning to introduce grade system in CBSE schools from the next academic year with no pass or fail category. "The current system (of marks and percentage) leads to an unhealthy competition among the students.

Entrance exams begin today

1,18, 576 students are appearing for the medical and engineering entrance exams which begins today. There are 276 centres in the state and three centres in Delhi and Dubai.

All arrangements for the exams are complete, said examination commissioner B S Maoji. He said they hope to publish the results by June 15. Exams for engineering will be held first. Timings will be from 10 am to 12 noon.

U. P. Board Class XII Examination result on 27th May

Uttar Pradesh Board of High School and Intermediate Education class 12 results will be declared May 27, a statement Saturday said. Students will also be able to access their results on mobile phones by sending an SMS - RESULTUP12ROLLNO - to 56263, the statement said.

The results will be uploaded onto the websites www.results.upeducation.net and www.examresults.net. at 12 p.m.

Centralised Online Allotments for AIEEE Seats
